1. General Kentucky Salesperson License Requirements
The general requirements for real estate salespersons defined by the Kentucky Real Estate Commission are as follows:
- Be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
- Have a high school diploma or GED

3. Additional Salesperson License Requirements in Kentucky
If you meet the general requirements and have completed your required course credit hours, you will need to complete the following steps to get your Salesperson license:
- Apply for your Kentucky salesperson license
- Complete and pass an FBI criminal background check.
- Successfully pass the Kentucky Salesperson licensing exam with a score of 75% or higher
- File your Kentucky real estate license application.
- Complete the required 48 hours of post-license courses.
Regulatory Notes:
There is no limit to the number of QE hours that may be taken online. Students cannot receive credit for studying more than 9 hours per day, therefore, the proctored final exam will not be accessible until the 11th day after starting the course. Students must complete and turn in to their instructor a Course Practicum before they will be allowed to access the proctored course final exam. Instructions for the completion of this Practicum are included in the course.
Obtaining Certificate of Course Completion: Upon completion of the course, Colibri Real Estate will provide you an electronic certificate of completion in your account dashboard. You may need to submit your certificate of completion with your license request, please refer to your license application to determine if this is necessary. Course completion dates are recorded using Central Standard Time, therefore that will be the time reflected on your certificate.

Student Complaints
You have a right to expect a professional standard of education and conduct from a school. If you believe any employee of the School has violated Kentucky statutes or regulations, you may send a written complaint to via email to attempt resolution. In your email you must clearly state what you feel is the alleged violation and your email must include a link to the page of the website where you feel this violation is located or any other relevant documentation supporting your claim. School staff will review your allegation and the documentation provided, and will respond to your complaint by email within 3 business days.
If a satisfactory resolution cannot be reached between the student and the school, the student may file a complaint with the Kentucky Commission on Proprietary Education (Commission) by submitting a completed “Form to File a Complaint” (PE-24) either by mail or by delivery to 300 Sower Boulevard, Frankfurt, Kentucky 40601. Form PE-24 can be accessed online at www.kcpe.ky.gov.
Student Protection Fund
KRS 165A.450 requires all licensed schools, resident and non-resident, to contribute to a student protection fund, which will be used to pay off debts incurred due to the closing of a school.

Per the Kentucky Commission on Proprietary Education, an enrollment agreement shall be completed and returned to McKissock prior to beginning course work. Note: McKissock cannot issue Kentucky Real Estate credit without a completed enrollment agreement on file. Enrollment agreement documents can be found in the documents section of each course.
