Rhode Island Real Estate Salespersons and Brokers are required to complete 24 hours of Continuing Education every two years by April 30th of even years. 18 hours of electives and 6 hours of mandatory courses. Mandatory Courses: Law of Agency, Law of Contracts, Fair Housing, Lead Hazard Mitigation, and Rhode Island License Law & Ethics. 

There is a one-time requirement for all licensees to take a lead poisoning/lead hazard mitigation course of not less than 3 hours if they didn’t already take it to gain licensure. The Rhode Island Lead Paint Mitigation course may be taken again for mandatory credit in a separate cycle if desired.
